A plantation house built at around 1772, the house in the horseshoe was attacked by British loyalists during the revolutionary war. Visitors to the house still see the bullet holes on the sides of the house. Alongside a view of colonial life and the battles of the revolutionary war, the house also provides exhibits featuring the Native Americans of the region, colonial and revolutionary artifacts, and the women who lived in the region.
